Design Review, Construction Monitoring and Supervision of Construction for Upgrading of the Bituminous Surface of the Juba – Yei – Kaya Road (245km)

GCC Construction Ltd in JV with B&L Engineering Services Ltd was contracted by Government of South Sudan, Ministry of Roads and Bridges (the Client) to undertake design review and construction supervision of the Juba – Yei – Kaya Road (245km).

The Construction works include bridge construction, earthworks, preparation of sub-base and base courses, application of surface courses, improvement to side drainages, improvements to or replacement of culverts, river protection works, drainage and slope protection works, traffic safety features, and road signs and road markings. The Consultant is also tasked with promoting technology transfer by the employment of local staff and developing the capacity of counterpart engineers.

• Review of existing architectural plans and layouts.
• review of the proposed expansion of the Ring Road Kilimani and Argwings Kodhek Road
• Geotechnical and Topographical survey
• Traffic Impact Assessment
• Geometric and Pavement design of deceleration and acceleration lanes
• Optimisation of the existing internal roads circulation
• Liaison with relevant authorities/KeNHA for approval of the TIA report
