Our team of experts comprising of highway engineers, economists, social and environmental scientists work jointly to ensure that that the Feasibility Study Report presented to our client is factual and reliable.
We collect and utilise first-hand traffic demand data to guide our road network planning. We work corroboratively with transport sector players including the road authorities, road users and investors to ensure that the overarching need for the most efficient road network is achieved. Strategic planning is coordinated and executed by a transport planner with requisite qualifications and experience to guarantee quality and professionalism.
We conduct route and corridor assessment to ensure that the most economical and preferred route is selected for development. Our team of experts collects and analysis current data related to topography, hydrology, environmental and social impact of the development, constructability, availability of materials, existing land use and the overall cost of construction, among others. This service is coordinated and carried out by a team of experts comprising of surveyors, highway engineers, materials engineer, environmental and social scientists to ensure that the most optimal route is selected for development.
We carry out traffic study to ensure that the capacity of the developed road infrastructure is informed by the projected traffic demand. We use our experienced and dedicated junior engineers to conduct traffic counts, origin-destination survey, traffic classification, pedestrian and axle load survey. This exercise is planned and supervised by a qualified traffic engineer whose ultimate role is data analysis and reporting.
We carry out engineering design of highways using the most current version of Civil 3D design software. Our team of experienced highway engineers makes use of verified topographical and traffic survey data to ensure that the highway design is technically robust, safe and cost effective. Our pavement design is based on extensive materials and soil investigation to ensure that local materials are utilised for pavement layers as much as possible to lower the cost of construction, while maintaining the structural stability of the pavement. Our designs are based on both local and international standards.
We provide construction supervision and contract management services, to ensure that the implementation of the design is carried out in accordance with the contract and specifications. We achieve this by ensuring that our resident engineers have the requisite training in contract management, knowledge and experience in practical use of the FIDIC Conditions of Contract in order to ensure that our Client’s risk are mitigated.
Some of the tasks provided during project implementation includes pre-qualification of tenderers, planning, programming, Cost estimates, tender documentation, Contract administration and reporting, quality assurance, safety audits, Claims management and Dispute resolution.
We provide Roads Safety Audits services to assist our Clients identify road safety deficiencies in the design and construction of roads, in order to eliminate or employ mitigation measures at the most opportune time to reduce costs and minimize disruption during operation, and ultimately to enhance the safety of the road environment. We utilise our experienced team of experts to assess the performance of the finished road taking into consideration the infrastructure elements, traffic characteristics and the behaviour of road users.
Roads development is one of the major infrastructure investments and therefore the need to ensure the existence of an elaborate maintenance plan is in place. We conduct condition surveys of existing transport infrastructure, quantify the damage and associated costs of remedial works, to inform the Client’s budget. We provide the following services: Asset Management, Pavement evaluation, Supervision of Rehabilitation and Maintenance works, Condition surveys and Cost estimates for maintenance works.
We provide capacity building programs to our Client’s seconded staff to ensure that they are well equipped with requisite knowledge and skill for future projects. The programs are tailored to address specific needs for the seconded staff to enable them undertake maintenance activities upon project handover. We employ both classroom set up as well as practical onsite training for maximum knowledge transfer to the staff.
We offer transport planning services to private and public sector clients in the urban and rural land development industry. Our team of experts have a wealth of land development experience, market knowledge and technical resources. We understand that the integration of land use and transport options ensures a range of travel choices for the end user.
Technical.
- Urban Revitalisation Projects:
We understand that the integration of land use and transport options is an important component in achieving a greater range of travel choices for the end user. This enhances the sustainability of both urban and rural communities.
- Precinct Structure Plans:
We develop transport models of the projected future development of towns and cities including the land use (residential, commercial and retail) and the transport systems (road, rail).
- Concept Design and Master Planning:
We provide concept and detailed layout and design of town centres and community precincts as an extension to early planning and feasibility studies. This entails working with landscape architects and urban planners to guarantee a balance between streetscape improvements and commercial viability. Use of modern technology coupled with team spirit and a fully committed management team to solve.
We provide Technical and Performance Audits services to both private and public Clients for ongoing and completed transport infrastructures. We conduct technical assessment of the project from procurement, design, construction and post construction phases to ensure that value for money is achieved for the development. Our experienced team of experts reviews the construction methods and collects samples of various materials being utilised for permanent work and subject it to specific laboratory tests.
Non-destructive tests are normally carried out on completed pieces of work to eliminate damages which may compromise their integrity.
Buildings & Structures
Our engineering services in the Buildings and Structures sector includes, but is not limited to, Structural Design, Structural Audits, Third Party Design Reviews, Construction Monitoring and Construction Supervision.
We carry out structural engineering design of structures from initial concept designs through to value engineered detailed designs and associated documentation. We also carry out Front End Engineering Designs (FEED) on EPC contracts required for accurate bid pricing as well as providing the required conceptual inputs during master planning stages.
Our team of experienced structural engineers are well versed in the use of the latest engineering tools and software which include Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis, NavisWorks amongst others to ensure that the design is technically robust, safe and cost effective.
